Lush Melting Snowman

I received quite a few Lush Christmas items this year and Lush Melting Snowman was one of them. It's the cutest bath product ever!
The Melting Snowman contains bicarbonate of soda, which will leave your bath water cloudy and soft. It also contains dairy free chocolate for the eyes and a stem of ginger for the nose. It is fragranced with the scent of Hot Toddy, a previous Christmas favourite containing cinnamon, clove, patchouli, benzoin, lime and wild orange oils.
It smells so good and lingered on my skin for hours. Lush Melting Snowman is available from Lush at Christmas £1.95 each.

Lush Party Popper

'Drop a Party Popper cone in your bath and watch it spin into action, as it goes on a spree across your bath spreading colours, fragrance, popping candy and soap confetti.  Softening your bathwater, fragrancing your skin and washing you clean.'

I get really excited when Lush release their Christmas products each year.  This year editions were no let down!

I dropped it into a nice warm bath and it suddenly started to fizz up and spin around, as it started to dissolve into the water it released a few large pieces of soap confetti.  The water started to turn pink and blue and then the pink and blue mixed together to create a lovely pink magenta shade. It has a lovely fruity scent which lingers both on the skin and in the bathroom for hours.

I really enjoyed this bath bomb, I thought it was really fun and unique, hopefully it's on the Christmas list next year.

Lush FUN Pink

On one of my many trips to Lush I came across their newest product FUN,  10p from each sale of FUN goes to help children affected by the Fukushima disaster in Japan.  It's a multipurpose product which you can use as a bubble bath, soap, shampoo, or to hand wash your clothes.

It comes in five different colours and scents;

1. FUN Pink - Jam packed with the fruity, candy smells of childhood.
2. FUN Blue - Relax and feel ready for sleep when you wash with this mix of lavender, Moroccan chamomile and chamomile blue essential oils. The perfect bedtime bath.
3. FUN Yellow - Creamy vanilla tones evoke thoughts of seaside ice creams, granny's baking and home comforts.
4. FUN Green - A citrus burst of tangy lime and lemon essential oils will wake you up, keep you feeling fresh and focused and help you play for hours.
5. FUN Red - Mandarin and orange essential oils will make you think of sunny orange groves and freshly squeezed juice. Brings a bit of summer sun to your bath and play time.

As you can see I've picked FUN Pink, I used a little bit in the shower.   It's great, it creates a thick creamy lather all over the body. Work up a lather in your hand. They're certainly more moisturising than regular shower jellies and a lot less slippery.

Lush FUN is available online and in store  £5.00 each.

Lush Cinders

Lush 'Cinders' is a gorgeous Christmassy limited edition bath ballistic with cinnamon, sweet orange and almond oils and popping candy.  Lush say 'A ballistic to evoke sitting by a crackling open fire, drinking a glass of warm punch.  A real Christmas time ballistic that fights the chill and brings peace and comfort. Lie back, letting the water support your body, and listen to the fire as the smell of warm fruit punch fills the room.'

It smells amazing, very much like cinnamon but not quite so strong. I also love the popping candy element, it adds a bit of fun to your bath. It leaves your skin smelling amazing all day and also leaves it feeling very soft and smooth just like all Lush products.

Lush Cinders is available online and instore £2.25 each.

Lush Snow Fairy Shower Gel

Christmas wouldn't be Christmas at LUSH without that familiar pink hue glowing on the shelves! Yes, the Fairy is back again with a makeover for her fans.

First things first, this smells AMAZING. It won't be to everyone's taste as it's extremely sweet-smelling. Lush describe it as smelling of "candyfloss and pear drops", a scent which "transports you back to days of standing in the sweet shop with your pocket money clasped in your fist, trying to decide what to buy". I have to say, this description is pretty much spot on. It smells just like candyfloss, and it certainly does remind you of a sweet shop.

This can be used in many ways too. The obvious use is as a normal shower gel, but it can also be used as a shampoo, and even as a detergent when doing your washing. I haven't ever used it as a detergent so can't comment on that use, but it does make a good shampoo, and leaves your hair smelling lovely and sweet.

Used as a shower gel, the smell lingers on your skin for a good while afterwards, which I love as I can not get enough of the smell. Although it contains glitter, the glitter doesn't stick to your skin, and doesn't stay in your hair if you use this as a shampoo either.
Overall, I really recommend this. If you have a Lush shop nearby, just go and smell this if you haven't already, I promise you won't regret it.

Snow Fairy prices are as follows:
£3.50/100g
£6.25/250g
£10.25/500g

Lush Butterball

Butterball has a beautiful smell of vanilla (my favourite smell in the world!). This is one of the smaller bath bombs from Lush but well worth the price (£2.40) because it is just what you need if skin is feeling a bit on the dry side or in need of some TLC. The smell is divine and lasts on the skin all day, it is very cocoa-buttery/vanilla.

It is a fairly quick fizzing one and it doesn't do anything epic to the water. However inside this little guy are tiny pockets of cocoa butter, which proceed to float atop the water. Butterball does cause quite a mess, the bath is left very oily and definitely will need a good scrub once you get out.

Lush Honey Bee

I finally got my hands on Lush Honey Bee after asking for it for my birthday and the sales person putting in a Lush Fizzbanger instead.

This bath bomb contains honey, aloe and rhassoul which combined together creates such a calming, sweet fragrance. It is heavenly and I just want to sit and take it in all day. The fragrance is much the same in when used in the bath as on the dry product, unlike some other Lush bath products I’ve tried.

The colour this turns the water isn’t too appealing, as I’m sure you can see. None the less if you can overcome the fact that it turns your water straw yellow then the soft feeling it gives your skin more than makes up for it.

Lush Think Pink

I'm using the last of my Birthday Prsents that I got from my boyfriend from Lush and I've left the best till last ............ Think Pink. Think Pink is the ultimate girly bath bomb, firstly it's pink, also the cute candy flowers and the scent of vanilla and tonka with the added lavender oils make having a bath a pleasure not a chore. Once you pop this into the bath the water turns bright pink with hundred of confetti hearts floating around.

Once you jump out the bath, this leaves your skin soft and lightly scented.  You're skin will not feel oily, even though it does contain lavender oils.  Unlike some bath bombs, this left no yucky line around the bath and no discolouration.  Just a quick blast with the shower head and a wipe down, it was clean again.

Lush Think Pink is available from Lush Stores £2.45 each.

Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub

I really love Lush products at the moment and Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub is one of them.

Lush’s Bubblegum Lip Scrub retails at £4.95 for 25g. It’s pink,. girly and you guessed it, bubblegum flavoured. It’s main ingredient is castor sugar, which helps to gently scrub away dead skin and flakiness from lips. The jojoba oil is moisturising but not greasy. Which makes it the perfect product to use before applying lipstick. The jar will last you a long time, as it’s full to the brim and you don’t need to use loads.

Lush Fizzbanger

As much as I love Lush Fizzbanger I was rather disappointed with this birthday present. As you can see in the picture below the label read Lush Honey Bee. I was looking forward to a calming, sweet fragrance. I guessing the salesperson stuck on the wrong label when my boyfriend was paying. But on the bright side Lush Fizzbanger is one of my favourite Lush products.

Lush Fizzbanger is infused with the scent of apples, cinnamon and toffee. Initially the bath water slowly fizzes into a pale yellow and then mixes with swirls of blue from the inside layer to slowly turn into a beautiful ocean green. Wait that's not it, it has fizzy candy inside so then your bath water starts to snap, crackle and pop! When you finally drag yourself out of the bath your skin is left super soft and smelling great.

Lush Fizzbanger is available from Lush £3.20 each.

Lush Melting Marshmallow Moment

This pretty and pink cupcake shaped bath melt is a lovely treat. The scent is yummy and super sweet and is very similar to Snow Fairy Shower Gel.

Being the first bath melt I had used I wasn't quite sure what to expect. Some reviews on the Lush website suggested breaking the product into two to get more use out of it. I decided to use the whole thing, it took a good 5 minutes for the product to dissolve completely. As the product slowly fizzed it emitted a pink foam which slowly turned white. I was hoping the melt would turn my bath water a pretty shade of pink, however it only succeeded in turning the water a murky white colour, which was disappointing.

Overall, a lovely smelling, girly product which left my skin feeling baby soft.

Lush Ultrabland Cleaners

I really like Lush products they are handmade, natural, and not tested on animals.  They're also pretty afforable too, which is also a plus, especially for someone who's just brought a flat!

Lush Ultrabland is a really gentle cleanser made with almond oil, honey, beeswax, and rose. This cleaner feels oily at first to the touch, but does not make your skin oily at all.    It's a great make-up remover too.   To apply, take a small amount of the product in your hands, rub your hands together a bit to spread it out, and then apply it to your face. To remove it, you simply spray Lush Tea Tree Water onto a cotton wool pad on and wipe your face until it is removed.

I have been using both products for a little over a week now and I have noticed a major improvement in my skin.  My skin is less oily and I haven't had any new spots.  I would definitely recommend either of these products for people with combination skin.

Lush Tea Tree Water

I popped into Lush last week as my skin was going through a bad patch and wanted to find something natural to fix it. I spoke to sales women, she gave me some advise and I came out with three products Ultrabland, Full of Grace & Tea Tree Water.

I love this product, I'm so glad I picked this up! I've used this for a week now and I'm very impressed with the results. It does an excellent job of absorbing oil and removing makeup deep in the pores. It smells very fresh and it comes in a nice big bottle which I hope last a long time. Still not sure why it comes in a spray bottle since I hardly ever spray directly on my face, but whatever it works. It seems to be helping with skin so this is a keeper.

Lush Tea Tree Water is available from LUSH stores Nationwide starting at £3.75 for 100g.

Lush Avobath

I tried this for the first time last week. Initially the idea of the avacado put me off however the sales person in Lush raved about it. To me this smells nothing like avacado, it smells more of lemon/lime, it's so refreshing especially after a gym workout in a HOT bath.

Avobath has real mashed avocado and olive oil for moisturising, and it actually does moisturise noticeably without leaving a mess behind in the tub. The only off putting thing about this, is the weird green colour it turns the bath water.

Lush Avobath is available from Lush Online or Lush Stores £3.10 each.

Lush Space Girl

On a recent haul in Lush I picked up my lastest bath bomb Space Girl. The smell of this one is difficult to describe … the initial smell is definately like those sweets Parma Violets, but underneath there is a subtle smell of Lush Shower Gel Snow Fairy. It looks like a purple spaceship, and it dusted with a thin layer of red glitter which makes it a girly bath bomb.

When you put it in the bath it turns the bath a really lovely deep purple its also got Popping Candy in it, which means when you put your head under the water you can hear a crackling sound! When I got out of the bath my skin smelt amazing and the scent lasted a few hours. I think this has to be one of my favourite bath bombs.

The LUSH Space girl is available from all LUSH stores and on the LUSH Online for £1.95 each.

Lush Vanilla Fountain

I'm a huge Vanilla fan, so when I was having a little haul in Lush I couldn't resist picking up a Vanilla Fountain Bath Bomb.

Vanilla Fountain looks and smells like a dessert. It's unmistakable because it's the only bath bomb with a stick of vanilla sticking out of it. As you could probably tell by its name, it smells like vanilla, but it also has a hidden kick of jasmine and gardenia.

When Vanilla Fountain is placed in the bath, it dissolves really quickly and turns the water a bright yellow. When I got out of the bath I smelt great and could really smell the Vanilla on my skin, I wouldn't think twice about buying this again!

Vanilla Fountain is available from Lush £3.15 each.

Happy Easter!

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!!

Instead of an chocolate egg this year I've treated myself to a very sweet, very delightful Lush Fluffy Egg.

It is bright pink, and has the same scent as the popular Snow Fairy shower gel which is released at Christmas! It smells like sweet bubble gum/candy which is gorgeous! I usually go for more fruity and citrus scents, but this really is an exception for me.

I've not dropped this into the bath yet as I'm saving this for tomorrow night but looking at reviews it fizzes well, turns the bathwater a pretty pink, and has the same gorgeous scent.

I'm looking forward to using it!

Lush Fluffy Eggs are available for a limited time at Lush £2.95 each.

LUSH - Lemony Flutter Cuticle Butter

I love LUSH Lemony Flutter Cuticle Butter, I read about this on another beauty blog back in November and put this straight on my Christmas list.

I can get very dry and rough cuticles as I'm always changing my nail varnish, LUSH Lemony Flutter Cuticle Butter is perfect for me! The cuticle butter smells extermely lemonly and the skin around my nails feels and looks instantly moisturised.

It costs £5.95 and for that you get 50g, although having now tried it for a few months, I can see it's going to last me a very long time as you only need a teeny amount because it's very rich.

I'm really impressed with this product and will definitely buy it again!
