Essie - Tart Deco

Essie Tart Deco is a soft coral/peachy but somehow looks a bit pink in the picture. It's a great color for summer, but could easily be worn all year round.

When I applied the formula it was quite thick, one coat doesn’t quite make it but two is more than enough to give that perfectly even opaque. The formula is rather impressive also as it has yet to chip after a couple of days wear.

Essie Tart Deco is available from Boots & Superdrug £7.99 each.

Lush Think Pink

I'm using the last of my Birthday Prsents that I got from my boyfriend from Lush and I've left the best till last ............ Think Pink. Think Pink is the ultimate girly bath bomb, firstly it's pink, also the cute candy flowers and the scent of vanilla and tonka with the added lavender oils make having a bath a pleasure not a chore. Once you pop this into the bath the water turns bright pink with hundred of confetti hearts floating around.

Once you jump out the bath, this leaves your skin soft and lightly scented.  You're skin will not feel oily, even though it does contain lavender oils.  Unlike some bath bombs, this left no yucky line around the bath and no discolouration.  Just a quick blast with the shower head and a wipe down, it was clean again.

Lush Think Pink is available from Lush Stores £2.45 each.

Simple Spotless Skin Deep Cleansing Pads

The lovely people at the Simple Press Office sent me some Simple Spotless Skin Deep Cleansing Pads to try out and I've got a say they are really refreshing. I've been using them since Friday evening and I'm already seeing a difference.

My skin has not been very good over the past couple of months, I'm not sure if it's the makeup or weather. I've been using Simple Spotless Skin Deep Cleansing Pads in the evenings after cleansing my face in the shower and you can see my face is still dirty. Yuck!

The cleansing pads are slightly raised to help exfoliate the skin, there effective but gentle. I find many spot tackling cleansing pads dry out my skin with the amount of alcohol in them but these are formulated with Zinc PCA to help mattify, caring Chamomile and antibacterials to clear the skin. They also contains no perfume or harsh chemicals making this perfect for my sensitive skin and all skin types.

Simple Spotless Skin Deep Cleansing Pads retail at £3.99 which is very reasonable as a tub will last you a month if you use them once a day like me.

August 2012 Glossybox

With the Olympics this month, Glossybox has gone global with cult products from all around the world. Also we were spoilt with 6 products instead of the usual 5 and I've got to say I'm really pleased with everything I got this month.

What's In My Box;

Vera Valenti L'ombre à Paupière Margarita Eyeshawdow Palette - This is a eyeshadow palette from Spanish brand Vera Valenti. It contains 10 different eyeshadow shades and a sponge tip applicator. I received the neutral shades, honesty im not too keen on and this is more fitting for my mum so i will be passing this on.

Alessandro - Pro White Nail Polish - The Alessandro Pro White is a German product that is a optically brightening effect nail polish that has a anti-yellowing formula for radiant white and gleaming nails. This is definitely a product i will get some use out of and i will use as a base coat before applying nail polish.

Lipcote Lipstick Sealer - Lipcote is a product that I've always heard about but never really tried. It is the original lip stick sealer and promises to be the secret behind smudge, feather, fade and kiss proof colour that lasts. I'm really intrigued by this product and I'm really looking forward to putting it to the test.

Glossybox Lipstick - Glossy Pink - The GlossyBox lipstick looks a lovely colour (a pretty dusky rose pink), although I haven't used it yet. It's one of those suits-all shades so anyone who gets it in their box should be able to work with it!

DHC Deep Cleansing Oil - This revolutionary water-soluble cleanser is better than any other make-up remover you've ever tried is what they promise! I'm looking forward to trying this as I love using cleansing oils, especially for removing stubborn eye makeup remover.

All for Eve for the Eve Appeal Eve's Balm - This is a great multipurpose balm for use all over the body.  So far I have used it on my elbows and lips.  I love that this little pot has a mirror inside and the smell is nice too – very essential oil-like.

Essie - Lilacism

Essie Lilacism, part of the Spring 2010 Collection, which is a very pretty pale purple shade. It only takes about two coats to create a lovely sheen upon the nails. The formula is rather impressive also as it has yet to chip after a couple of days wear.

I am just in love with the range of pastel colours that Essie has come out with for the summer!

Essie Nail Polishes are available from Superdrug and Boots at £7.99 each.

Nail Art #2

I've been busy creating some new nail art designs. Your have to forgive me for the plastic swatches but I have Shellac on my nails.

Firstly you've seen this design many times on my blog, Leopard Print. I have used two coats of Essie - Fiji (this has to be my favourite nail varnish at the moment), and for the dots Essie - Chinchilly. I then used models own nail art pen to create the print.

I saw this design on a blog I read called Nailtart and decided to give it ago myself. I painted two coats of Essie - Status Symbol and on the tip of the nail Essie - Fiji. Then with my models own nail art pen a created the bow.

Nails Inc Sprinkles Collection - Topping Lane

One of Nails Inc's newest releases is a range of "sprinkle" nail polishes which are glitter and pastel colours. The glitter particles are mattified to give you the perfect amount of sparkle. There are four shades in the collection with each shade being named after the most deliciously named streets in London.

I found it pretty difficult to pick just one shade but in the end I went for the Pastel Pink Topping Lane. Topping Lane is a bright bubblegum pink with fuchsia, silver, and bluish-purple glitter. The application of the nail varnish glides on well, the glitter is smooth and doesn't feel scratchy like some glitter nail polishes. Lastly the best bit about Topping Lane is how long it lasts, I've been wearing this for 5 days without a single chip! Perfect for a summer holiday!

Nails Inc Sprinkle Collection are available £11.00 each from Nails Inc Stores but I've also seen them for £8.80 each on Beautybay.com

Blue Leopard Print

Just a quick post to show you my latest design, Blue Leopard Print. I've blogged about Leopard Print many times but I love trying out different colours.

This time I've changed things around by using a darker colour as the base and a lighter colour as the dots. The colours I have used are; two coats of Nails Inc - Baker Street and to create the dots, Essie - Fiji. I have then used the models own pen nail art pen to create the print.

Marc Jacobs - Dot Perfume

I was walking through House of Fraser last week and couldn't help going past the perfume section and smelling the new Marc Jacobs Perfume - Dot. It smelt so good I had to buy it! It features notes of red berries, dragon fruit, honeysuckle, jasmine, coconut water, orange blossom, vanilla, driftwood, and musk.

Dot's bottle is meant to be reminiscent of a ladybird with butterflies landing on it. "A dot is timeless and a pattern I always love, and round shapes are always beautiful. I liked the idea of these hybrid butterfly-ladybugs, which suggest a sort of free spirit and femininity and playfulness. And, of course, ladybugs mean good luck," he said.

I feel like this could equally be a daytime or night time scent; strong but not overpowering. I especially like that it really lasts, but also it still smells great by the end of the day.

Marc Jacobs - Hibiscus Perfume

I am a huge fan of Marc Jacobs fragrances, so naturally I was very excited to find out about his new 2012 Tropical Splash collection. He is releasing 3 new Splash fragrances, Hibiscus and Kumquat, both created by noted perfumer Richard Herpin and the third scent of this collection, created by Laurent Le Guernec called Rain.

Hibiscus is a sultry exotic fruity floral with notes of raspberry, mandarin, pink peony. tropical hibiscus flowers, pink freesia, and tiara, with a base of exotic woods, vetiver, and musk. The scent is really light and wearable - perfect for hot summer days.

Tropical Splash collection is now available nationwide £29.00 100ml.

Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub

I really love Lush products at the moment and Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub is one of them.

Lush’s Bubblegum Lip Scrub retails at £4.95 for 25g. It’s pink,. girly and you guessed it, bubblegum flavoured. It’s main ingredient is castor sugar, which helps to gently scrub away dead skin and flakiness from lips. The jojoba oil is moisturising but not greasy. Which makes it the perfect product to use before applying lipstick. The jar will last you a long time, as it’s full to the brim and you don’t need to use loads.

Lush Fizzbanger

As much as I love Lush Fizzbanger I was rather disappointed with this birthday present. As you can see in the picture below the label read Lush Honey Bee. I was looking forward to a calming, sweet fragrance. I guessing the salesperson stuck on the wrong label when my boyfriend was paying. But on the bright side Lush Fizzbanger is one of my favourite Lush products.

Lush Fizzbanger is infused with the scent of apples, cinnamon and toffee. Initially the bath water slowly fizzes into a pale yellow and then mixes with swirls of blue from the inside layer to slowly turn into a beautiful ocean green. Wait that's not it, it has fizzy candy inside so then your bath water starts to snap, crackle and pop! When you finally drag yourself out of the bath your skin is left super soft and smelling great.

Lush Fizzbanger is available from Lush £3.20 each.

Models Own Limited Edition Lipgloss with hint of Coconut

Models Own Limited Edition Lipgloss with a hint of Coconut is another birthday present from my best friend.

It's a clear lipgloss with a tint of pink. When applied there is hardly any coverage apart from a slight shade of pink. This is great, as this is perfect to put on top of your lipstick.

And I've left the best bit to last........it smells like Malibu, Yum!

MAC Lipstick - Cut a Caper

MAC have realeased a new collection Heavenly Creatures and part of the collection is Cut a Caper Lipstick.

MAC Cut a Caper is a lustre finish lipstick and is officially listed as a "mid-tone peach pink". It is neutral in tone and will suit nearly everyone but it has to be noted that it is fairly sheer and does require building to gain full opaque coverage. I have found lustre formulas last for around two hours before it needs reapplying and doesn't dry your lips out.

MAC Cut a Caper Lipstick is available online and instore £14.00

Hello Kitty Nails

Just a quick post to show you my new nail art, Hello Kitty nails. I saw a simalar design on Kyliee Jenner and decided to give it ago myself.

To get this design I have used two coats of Essie - Fiji, Barry M - Bright Pink for the nose and Barry M Bright Red for the bow. Then using my black nail art pen I have drawn the outline of Hello Kitty to finish off the design.

This is so cute, I only painted my toes nails yesterday but may have to take it off and put this on.

Essie - Fiji

I love Essie so much, the brush is wide and glides on really easy, it also lasts a really long time without chipping. To make things even better Essie has started popping up in Superdrugs and Boots which makes it easier for me the get my hands on.

One of my favourites is Fiji, I'm really into white based pastels at the moment so this was a perfect birthday present!

It only took two coats (one thin, one thick), I also added Barry M - Pink Iridescent 264 to smooth it out.

I have this on my toes and it looks great with my skin tone, I bet it would look great with a tan.
