Lush Butterball

Butterball has a beautiful smell of vanilla (my favourite smell in the world!). This is one of the smaller bath bombs from Lush but well worth the price (£2.40) because it is just what you need if skin is feeling a bit on the dry side or in need of some TLC. The smell is divine and lasts on the skin all day, it is very cocoa-buttery/vanilla.

It is a fairly quick fizzing one and it doesn't do anything epic to the water. However inside this little guy are tiny pockets of cocoa butter, which proceed to float atop the water. Butterball does cause quite a mess, the bath is left very oily and definitely will need a good scrub once you get out.

Autumn/Winter Beauty Trends 2012-13

Autumn/Winter is my favourite time of the year, it's time to put away the sandals and pastel pinks and put on your boots! Here's a few tips to get you ready for the season:

1. Red Lips - There has been no escaping the red lip beauty trend in 2012, but for autumn/winter the classic look adopts a bolder, brighter finish.

2. Natural Beauty - Stripping back layers of foundation, concealer and blusher, raw beauty is the most challenging beauty concept for autumn/winter.

3. Dark Eyeliner - It's all about experimenting with eye liner this season. While the size and shape of the line varied, two things remained the same; the colour was always black and the finish was clean cut and minimalist.

4. Strong Brows - Well-groomed eyebrows are still very much en vogue this season.

5. Matching Lips & Cheeks - While subtle pink blush defined and contoured cheekbones, the same tone was dabbed onto lips to create a delicate feminine look.

6. Metallic Makeup - Green & Purple shades perfect to Layer and blend the product to achieve an effortless smoky eye.

Limited Edition Vaseline - Pink Bubbly

This is the first post I've done from my phone, so hopefully this turns out ok! Fingers crossed!

I was very excited to find out Vaseline have released another Limited Edition flavour - Pink Bubbly, it has a hint of a tint and smells very similar to the rose Vaseline with a slight champagney undertone. It's enriched with champagne grape extract too so it's not just all in the name. The tin is really cute too, suitably gorgeous and champagne-themed. I love these Limited Edition tins, a very exciting addition to the range!

Exclusive to Selfridges £3.49 each.

Lush Honey Bee

I finally got my hands on Lush Honey Bee after asking for it for my birthday and the sales person putting in a Lush Fizzbanger instead.

This bath bomb contains honey, aloe and rhassoul which combined together creates such a calming, sweet fragrance. It is heavenly and I just want to sit and take it in all day. The fragrance is much the same in when used in the bath as on the dry product, unlike some other Lush bath products I’ve tried.

The colour this turns the water isn’t too appealing, as I’m sure you can see. None the less if you can overcome the fact that it turns your water straw yellow then the soft feeling it gives your skin more than makes up for it.

Clinique Line Smoothing Concealer - Light

I have really dark circle where my completion is very fair so I always need a good concealer to hide them, so when I picked up a new foundation on the Clinique counter I couldn't resist picking up a new concealer.

After just a few days of wearing the product I could tell it was really doing it’s job! Once applied, my lines were diminished (but, of course, not completely gone). I noticed right away that the coverage was great.  Another huge plus for me was that the dark circles were virtually unnoticeable and my eyes seems so much brighter! I wear this concealer all day and it does not dry out. This product wears very well!

Clinique Redness Solution Foundation Review

I have recently had some breakouts, red areas on my chin area, and I can't determine where they are coming from, I think it was my Mac Foundation (Sad Face). I'll start off by saying I have never had a Clinique foundation before, and I usually don't even look at the Clinique counter but for some reason I found myself over there looking at the foundations and I'm glad I did!

Redness Solutions offers an oil free formula. This contains probiotic technology which helps to strengthen your skin's natural barrier. It contains SPF and antioxidants, an interesting concoction.

This foundation is really lovely! It does really camouflage every single imperfection on your face, apart from my dark circles. I really liked the way it was so smooth and easy to apply providing excellent coverage, blending seamlessly with very little effort.

£21 for 30ml; pretty good value considering you barely use any on each application.

Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel

I was given a free sample of the Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Gel when I brought a Foundation & Concealer from Clinique. Wow...this stuff is good!

This moisturiser is described as a gel but I would say the texture is somewhere between a gel and a lotion. You only need to use a very small amount, it is absorbed into the skin so easily and leaves a lovely soft, almost powdery, just like a primer. My make up glides on after I’ve used this moisturiser.

It’s £16.50 for a 50ml tube or £29.00 for a 125ml bottle.

Essie - Bikini So Teeny

Bikini so Teeny by Essie is a sparkling cornflower blue polish released recently with their 2012 Summer collection.

The formula of this polish reminded me why Essie is my favorite brand. The color is beautiful and true to the bottle, the formula is easy to work with and it dried with a gorgeous shine. The picture above shows the polish after two coats- no base coat and no top coat! Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase! Have you tried any of the new Summer shades from Essie?
