N-Spa Raspberry Milkshake Body Cream

My lovely boyfriend picked up N-Spa Raspberry Milkshake Body Cream for me when I sent him over to Asda to pick up a few things. I was very happy to try this out, it smelt soooo good, just like raspberry yoghurt!

The tub is easy to open, a couple of turns and you are greeted with a subtle raspberry scent, it smells very fruity! The cream is baby pink in colour and looks like it has a thick consistency.

Not much of the product is needed as if too much is used it leaves skin feeling sticky for a while until it all absorbs. I tend to use about a 50 pence piece sized blob to do each leg, this usually leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth and absorbs after I've rubbed it in. After the product has been applied, I find that the fruity raspberry scent lingers for a few hours.

All N-Spa products can be found at www.nspa.co.uk.

N-Spa Tropical Lime & Coconut Cream Shower Sorbet

When I was in Asda I picked up N-Spa Tropical Lime & Coconut Cream Shower Sorbet for 50p, what a bargain!

I love the scent of this product! It is fresh and zingy and I would say that the balance between coconut and lime is just right - there is definitely not one smell that overpowers the other. This gives the shower gel a nice fruity smell without being sickly.

It's a really nice summery fragrance, and would be a good one to chuck in your suitcase if you're off somewhere warm and sunny!

Barry M - 333 Black Multi Glitter

A few months ago I made a posted about Galaxy Nails, I love painting my nails black as they look so sophisticated and with a bit of glitter mixed in they look great.

When I was in Boots a few weeks back I found Barry M's - 333 Black Multi Glitter, I love this colour! I no longer need to use glitter on top of black nail varnish! PERFECT!!

Barry M - 333 Black Multi Glitter is available from Boots £2.99.

June 2012 Glossybox

I love June's Glossybox!! It's come around sooo quick!! This months theme is 'Sexy Summer' and I think this one of the best boxes; I think I will use every product and I'm really excited to give things a try!

What's In My Box;

Caudalie Eaux Fraiches Perfume - This is a lovely scent, also the packaging is really cute it makes it super easy to carry around in my bag and casually spritz throughout the day.  This particular fragrance is really fresh and I would like to try out the rest of them in store.

Vichy Dermablend Concealer Starter Kit - I haven't had a chance to try this yet but I've read good things. My under eye circles are horrendous and I'm hoping this does the trick, if so I may have to purchase the full size from Garden.co.uk £19.00.

BM Beauty Summer Warmth Bronzer - This is a lovely, soft powder bronze and leaves me with a beautiful, yet natural glow on my cheeks. I had a eyeshadow in a previous glossybox which I adore so I was very happy to receive a new product from their range.

HD Brows Precision Tweezers - The tweezers must be the best product I have received in my glossybox, I was soooo happy to see them. I've had HD eyebrows done twice now and was really thinking about buying the tweezers and palate. These have a really precise tip so I think these are going to be perfect for grabbing even the smallest of stray eyebrow hairs. I'm really looking forward to trying these out and I have high hopes for them considering they retail for £19.95

Glossybox Exclusive Pro Beauty Brush - I like this brush, it has the little glossybox logo, just like the compact mirror in last months box. The hairs aren't as soft as I was expecting, it does feel a little scratchy. It has quite a nice shape to it though which will be nice for bronzer or a light blush application.

New Batiste Lace Dry Shampoo

Batiste have gone ahead and launched another addition to their dry shampoo range and it's all about the lace. Lace has been described as seductive and elegant.

The new scent offers base notes of white musk, cedarwood and sandalwood which are complimented by top notes of citrus fruits, nutmeg and pink pepper. The heart of the fragrance contains stylish floral tones of rose, orchid and iris with jasmine and ylang-ylang.
If you haven't used Batiste before, Batiste is dry shampoo that banishes oily roots, giving lifeless hair a makeover without having to use water or shampoo. Keeping the nozzle 30cm from hair, spray into roots and massage through with fingertips or a comb and style.

I really like this scent but I still think Batiste Cherry Dry Shampoo is still my favourite, I love the sweeter scents.

Batiste Lace Dry Shampoo is now available from Superdrug or Boots £2.99.

Gilly Hicks Body Mist - Blue Camden

Gilly Hicks is the cheeky cousin of Abercrombie & Fitch. They have recently opened a store in Bluewater, Kent and I am totally addicted! On my last outing to Gilly Hicks I picked up Blue Camden Body Mist, the ingredients are Bright and fresh with red Fuji Apple, Asian Plum and Creamy Vanilla. It smells sooooo good! It’s long lasting through the day and it’s so nice when you just catch a whaft of it every now and again. Admittedly, it is pricey at £10 a bottle but, a little goes a long way. Definitely my scent of the summer!

Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation SPF 15 - Warm Sand

I've been VERY hesitant to try a new foundation, I've used Mac Studio Fix for years but suddenly had a reaction to it so had to try something new.
Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation SPF 15 - Warm Sand comes in a pump bottle which is convenient and doesn’t waste too much excess product. The product itself is surprisingly watery and thin, not like most foundations I’ve tried.
I have to say this foundation manages to be really light and sheer but still cover. Which is strange because sheer foundation and tinted moisturizers dont really cover enough, if you have uneven skin tone but this one does. Also it doesn't look cakey at all, it really does look like your skin.

There is no fragrance and I have had no irritation This product does not change color, smear or streak. It is long-wearing and holds up in humid conditions. The shade range is great. I will definitely purchase this makeup again.

Essie - Fifth Avenue

I picked up Essie Fifth Avenue Nail Varnish from Boots using my Advantage Card points, it's such a lovely bright orange red. This is the 1st time I have used/purchased an Essie Nail Varnish and I'm very impressed!
This vibrant red polish has strong orange undertones, making it a gorgeous color for warm skin (especially in the summer). The hyperpigmented formula looks opaque even in a single coat.
Essie nail polishes have a really nice finish and good staying power. I had Fifth Avenue on for one week with no chips and even had my hands in alot of water. Will definitely be buy alot more Essie Nail Varnishes!

Mac Sheer Select Pressed Powder NW25

I can't live without Mac Sheer Select Pressed Powder NW25 so when I'm coming to the bottom I have to quickly rush off to the nearest Mac Store to pick some up!
If you are wondering how to find the correct shade for Mac Foundations, Powders & Concealer, please see the below shade guide from sokissandmakeup.com;

The Letters stands for the different skin tones while the numbers refer to your skin's depth from 15 (fairest) to 55 (very dark skin)

N stands for Neutral skintones (Beige skin)
C stands for Cool skintones (Yellow, Golden, Olive skin)
W stands for Warm skintones (Pinkish skin)
NC stands for Neutral Cool skintones (Golden Beige skin)
NW stands for Neutral Warm skintones ( Pink Beige skin)

Now, to detemine your skin undertones take a look at your wrist or the underside of your arm.

If your veins are purplish blue - you have pink undertones
If your veins are greenish blue - you have yellow undertones
Mac Sheer Select Pressed Powder NW25 is my most used, recommended, re-purchased piece of make-up.

MAC says:
Micro-fine, sheer and silky. Pressed for portability. Goes on lightly. Won’t shift your shade or leave its mark. Lets skin’s natural vitality and freshness glow through. Comes with its own suede-finish sponge. Blurs lines. Makes skin look flawless.

I have to agree with every part of this. The texture of the powder is soft and fine. The compact is fragrance and shimmer free. While the powder has a sheer texture, the powder can easily be built up for superior coverage. A special mention for the puff applicator which comes with this compact must be made. It is the softest, most easy to use powder puff which picks up the powder competently and blends it effortlessly.

Mac Sheer Select Pressed Powder is available at Mac Online and Mac Stores Nationwide £19.00.

Mac Blush - Pink Cult

Mac Pink Cult Blush is part of the Reel Sexy Collection is described as a “mid-tone neutral pink” with a matte finish. It is a neutral-cool, light-medium pink with a slightly gray cast.
The texture of this blush is soft, slightly powdery due to its matte finish, but very blendable and easy to use. It’s one of those everyday shades that you can’t overdo, you can put as much as you’d like on because it has more of a neutral undertone, even though it does read a bit cool-toned in the pot, it will be a shade that adjusts against your natural skin tone in a very flattering way.
Mac Pink Cult Blush is available at Mac Online and stores Nationwide £17.50.

Nails Inc - Baker Street

As it's Jubilee Weekend I decided to become patriotic and paint my nails with Nails Inc Baker Street. I love this colour! Baker Street is a bright, cobalt blue which I think is perfect for Summer and it is a trend shade. It is such a striking colour, and unlike anything I owned previously. I’m guessing the reason it’s considered a ‘trend shade’ is because it’s reportedly the polish Beyonce was wearing on her first trip out after giving birth. I've also spotted a few of the TOWIE girls wearing it too and I can see why. It's gorgeous!

The polish is really bold and bright from the first coat. It is a little streaky with just one, but with two coats it is lovely and opaque and glossy.
This polish is gorgeous and perfect for Summer! I love it! Nails Inc - Baker Street is available at Nails Inc Online £11.00.

May 2012 Glossybox

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GLOSSYBOX!
This month's box is a special anniversary edition to celebrate the 1st birthday of Glossybox. To celebrate Glossybox have included a few little extras into there May box, including a mirror and balloon so you can celebrate along with them.

What's In My Box:

Lolita Lempicka - L’Eau De Blanc & Si Lolita - I'm not a big fan of perfume sample as they never get used. I stick them in my draw and that's where they stay, but perfume samples are useful as they let you smell scents that I wouldnt personally try or pick up myself. However, neither of these are to my particular tastes and smell a bit too 'old' for my liking. Having said that its a pretty pricey perfume with the 50ml of the L'Eau en Blanc costing £49.00.

Let's Go Lashes - I love lashes! So I was very happy to find a pair in May's Glossybox. These lashes are by Lets Go, I have never heard of or seen them before although they are part of the Nouveau beauty group. The lashes I received were the Lets Go Heartbreaker Lashes, I haven't used them yet but I will let you know how I get on.

Uniqone All In One Hair Treatment - I really need something like this at the moment as I was allergic to my last hair treatment. According to the bottle this one product does all of the following; repair for dry & damaged hair, shine & frizz control, heat protection, silkiness & smoothness, hair colour protection with UVA & UVB filters, easier brushing and ironing, incredible detangling, long-lasting hairstyle, split ends prevention, adds body. Who wouldn't be super excited to try a product that claims to do all that?!

I gave it a try last night and my hair feels so much smoother and controllable. I'll definitely be buy the full size bottle from CheapSmells.com for £11.99.

Weleda Face Cream - I don't really like getting face creams in my box as I have really sensitive skin and can't really use them.

Noble Isle Summer Rising Shower Gel - Even though I'm getting bored of receiving a shower gel in my glossybox each month, Noble Isle Summer Rising captures the fragrance of a British summer and I really do think it smells great.

Although I'm happy with my May 2012 glossybox and the extras I have received. It's not been my favourite box and I am getting a bit bored of receiving a shower gel every month!
