HD Brows Bombshell Palette

My best friend brought me a HD Brows Palette in Bombshell for my birthday and I love it soooo much. I can't believe I went so long without one.
Just in case you do not know anything about HD BROWS then HD Brows is a seven-step eyebrow shaping treatment that focuses on design. It involves a combination of techniques, including tinting, waxing and threading, using specialist HD Brows products. On average this shall last upto 4 weeks, then another treatment shall be required.

It’s a well known fact that spending a little time shaping and defining eyebrows can add real impact to your usual look and this makes it so easy to maintain that ‘fresh out of the salon’ appearance.

The palette is available in three options and includes a versatile brush, a nude & carbon shadow and two brown tone powders -

Bombshell (Blondes)
Foxy (Brunettes)
Vamp (Dark Hair)

My friend got me Bombshell Palette which is perfect for my skin colour it includes a nude, a carbon shadow, and two blonde tone powders.

The versatile powders are not solely for brows, they can also be used as eye shadows and eyeliners depending on how they are applied. The neutral shades make perfect daytime eye shadows swept across the lid and the carbon and dark brown shades can be used along the lash line as eyeliners to create a complete eye look. The nude shadow is also perfect for enhancing the brow bone and highlighting the shape of the brows.

Lush Melting Marshmallow Moment

This pretty and pink cupcake shaped bath melt is a lovely treat. The scent is yummy and super sweet and is very similar to Snow Fairy Shower Gel.

Being the first bath melt I had used I wasn't quite sure what to expect. Some reviews on the Lush website suggested breaking the product into two to get more use out of it. I decided to use the whole thing, it took a good 5 minutes for the product to dissolve completely. As the product slowly fizzed it emitted a pink foam which slowly turned white. I was hoping the melt would turn my bath water a pretty shade of pink, however it only succeeded in turning the water a murky white colour, which was disappointing.

Overall, a lovely smelling, girly product which left my skin feeling baby soft.

July 2012 Glossybox

This month the theme of the box is based around festivals, so all the products are easy to use on the go.. so what did I get inside my box this month?
Jelly Pong Pong Irish Cream Pavlova Lip Frosting – The first thing I did notice about this was the smell, instantly smelt how sugary and sweet this is, which I love. It remind me of Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub. The colour I have is almost a neon pink with the slightest hint of coral, which is a perfect colour for me.

Kryolan Satin Powder - This micro-fine powder creates an extraordinary shimmer effect to your eyes. I received a peachy/coral colour which again is perfect for my colouring, it lasts for about 8 hours and really looks fresh in the summer light.

Awapuhi Wild Ginger - Texturizing Sea Spray - I have never used a sea spray although i have friends that swear by them! This is a surf inspired spray that adds texture to create a tousled, beachy style. Perfect for spritzing on your hair after swimming on holiday.

MONU Calming Cream - This is a green-tinted cream that is meant to neutralise areas in your skin that are prone to redness. I do have a bit of random redness in the tops of my cheeks, so I might give this a go.

Collin Resultime Gel Collagene Regenerant - I've not used this as I feel this is for old skin. It claims to be multitasking superhero containing 15 key skin molecules.

Overall I am very happy with this months glossybox, I'm glad I have received products that suite my colouring.

Loreal Sublime Bronze Gradual Tan - Medium Skin

I brought Loreal Sublime Bronze Gradual Tan - Medium Skin on a whim hoping it was as good as Loreal Sublime Self Tan - Medium Skin, but I'm sorry to say it's not.

Overall it is a good gradual tanner as you can see from my pictures below. I'm quite pale (NW25) and I get some colour after just one application. It applies evently too without streaking and doesn't have typical fake tan smell, BUT....... it's incredibly greasy. Every time I applied it I felt like I was spreading lard all over my body. It's good if you are new to self-tanning because it is foolproof but there are better gradual tanners out there.

Sparkly Grey Nails

Just a quick post to say sorry I haven't posted much this week, I haven't brought many products this month, I'm waiting for my birthday :o)
It's a boring Sunday so I have decided to pamper myself and paint my nails with Models Own - Grey Day & Barry M - Pink Iridescent 264. I think they look great!
I have used two coats of Grey Day and one coat of Pink Iridescent, I always find applying glitter over a normal nail varnish livens things up, also makes it last longer.

F-A-B Ultra Repair Cream

I LOVE F-A-B ULTRA REPAIR CREAM!!

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream is a dermatologically friendly intensive moisturiser. It provides relief from dry, itchy, harsh weather conditions, dermatitis and eczema. It provides immediate relief from itching and minor skin irritation. It is suitable for use anywhere on the body – even the face. First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream is allergy tested, fragrance free and contains no harsh chemicals.

The cream feels thick, but rubs in very easily. You are not left feeling oily, either. The cream is meant to be fragrance free, but I could definitely smell a hint of something. I've been using this on my face for just over two weeks, I have noticed my skin seems more hydrated and is in better condition, when I have my makeup on my face is glowing.

F-A-B Ultra Repair Cream is available from Boots £8.00 for 56.7g.

June 2012 Empties

I don't have many empties this month, I am really bad at finishing products. I need to finish products before buying new ones.

John Frieda Sheer Blonde Colour Renew Tone Correcting Shampoo & Conditioner - This is my HG shampoo & conditioner, I can't live without it. Please see my review here.

Simple Kind to Skin Refreshing Facial Wash Gel - Simple Kind to Skin Refreshing Facial Wash Gel claims to help to soften and gently cleanse the skin and is free of perfume. My skin can be a little tempermental, and often fragrance free-products work better for me but this product don't really work for my skin. If your not prone to breakouts and have sensitive skin I would give this a try but if your like me and you need a little something extra to keep the breakouts at bay I would look for something a little stronger.

Lush Whoosh Shower Jelly - This smells unbelievable, very citrusey and summery. You crush a tiny bit of the product into a shower puff and lather up as normal. It leaves my skin tingly and refreshed, and smelling like grapefruit!

Molton Brown Blissful Templetree Moisture Bath & Shower - This product smells very fresh and what I would decribe as a woodland, out doorsy smell. It does smell like a slightly manly smell but its not too manly for a woman to use. The texture is quite thick but pours easily from the bottle, it works up to a nice foam in the bath or shower. You dont need too much of the product either, which is good as i think it is very expensive.

St Ives Apricot Invigorating Scrub - I've used this product for years, like most scrubs it is of course gritty in texture and gently exfoliates the dull surface cells
to reveal bright, smooth and radiant skin in an instant. I really enjoy using it at night to remove the day and all it's grim.

N-Spa Raspberry Milkshake Body Scrub

This is another present from my lovely boyfriend, I love the packaging of N-Spa products, they look just like Philosophy products. N-Spa Raspberry Milkshake Body Scrub smells amazing, sort of like raspberry flavoured kids yoghurts.

The body scrub is great to use, being in squeezy packaging means you don't have to scoop out the product and it's much less messy. The grains are seed-like and offer gentle exfoliation, whilst the rest of the formula is really moisturising, ensuring my skin felt nourished and not tight after its use. N-Spa Raspberry Milkshake Body Scrub leaves your skin super smooth and smelling amazing.

All N-Spa products can be found at www.nspa.co.uk.
