Paul Mitchell Shampoo Two

When my mum opened her Hairdressers about 13 years ago she used and stocked Paul Mitchell products but a few years down the line she changed to other brands such as GHD, Loreal, Fudge & Clynol. So last week I had a nice little surprise when my mum gave me a little present........Paul Mitchell Shampoo Two. This has got to be one of my favourite Shampoo!

Paul Mitchell Shampoo Two is an everyday deep cleansing Shampoo, it is ideally used for cleaning oily hair but the natural ingredients add Volume, Body and Shine. I love the lemony smell, it's not too heavy, and it really gets your hair clean.

All Paul Mitchell Products can be purchased online at LookFantasric.com

Revlon Lip Butter - Strawberry Shortcake

I've finally got my hands on the new Revlon Lip Butter, two weeks after they were first launched. I looked everywhere! There are 14 shades in the UK but I've gone for Strawberry Shortcake.
Like all other Revlon Lipsticks, Revlon Lip Butter comes in a plastic qulited cover and the packaging matches the inside colour.
Strawberry Shortcake is a dusky pink that reminds me of MAC Angel, it's a universal colour that will suit everyone.
Even though it is described as a lipstick I found this to be more like a tinted lip balm. I would defiantly like to try others shades, it can be found in Boots £7.99.

Spring Inspired Nails

The sun is out and the sky is blue, which only means one thing....Summer is on it's way! Yay!

With the sun shining all weekend I put the Black and Red nail varnishes away and put my new pastel colours to good use.
I decided on a very girly shade Barry M - 279 Bright Pink and to make it a bit different, I added Barry M - 308 Berry on my ring finger. I think these colours go lovely together and makes my nails really stands out.

Both shades are available at Boots at £2.99 each.

Spring Nails

Spring is finally here!

This season it's all about pastels, I have chosen five colours that I love and think will be great for SS12.
Urban Outfitters-Blue This shade is a Sky Blue/Lilac, it's a very bold colour and each time I wear this I get compliments galore.

Rimmel Lasting Finish-045 Misty Jade Misty Jade is a pale green, this is a really lovely colour but you need about 3 coats before you have full coverage.

Barry M-318 Peach Melba Peach Melba is a peachy pink, like Rimmel Lasting Finish-045 Misty Jade it takes 3 coats before you have full coverage. Peach Melba will look great with a tan.

Barry M-308 Berry This is one of my favourite shades, it is a bright Lilac. When i'm wearing this, it reminds me of chocolate smarties.

Barry M-279 Bright Pink Every girl should own a baby pink shade, it is the perfect colour for Spring/Summer.

Steamcream

Steamcream is a handmade multi-purpose moisturizer that comes in cute aluminium tins. The all-natural ingredients list includes oatmeal infusion to soothe, orange flower water to improve elasticity, almond oil to condition, lavender oil to calm redness and heal, cocoa butter to soften and organic jojoba oil to create an easily-absorbed cream.

I've had a pot of Steamcream since December and I absolutely love it! To start with it comes in a variety of different aluminium tins, which took me a while to choose a design. I use Steamcream as a daily moisturiser, it's light and absorbs into my skin very quickly. Best of all it smells lovely, it has a hint of lavender which is great to put on just before bed!

What is BB Cream?

I know this post is a bit delayed but I brought Garnier BB Miracle Skin Perfecter a few weeks ago and haven't had the time to review this yet. I know the BB Cream phase is sweeping the nation so I thought I would buy some!

For a start, what is BB Cream? .....
BB Stands for Blemish Balm. Automatically I start to think it would be a spot cream but apparently it's so much more than that. It's a primer, completion smoother, concealer, moisturiser & UV Protector.

I brought Garnier BB Miracle Skin Perfecter - Medium in Boots £9.99. The selling points were;
• Even Tones & Boosts Glow
• Blurs Imperfections
• Smoothes Fine Lines
• 24hr Hydration
• SPF15 UV Protection

Looking at a few of the points - Even Tones and Boosts Glow, I would say it does but makes my skin very greasy and by the end of the day I felt like I had no makeup on.

Blurs Imperfections & Smoothes Fine Lines - I would say it only works because of the tinted moisturiser and no other reason.

Overall I didn't really get on with Garnier BB Miracle Skin Perfecter. I found it very greasy and felt like it was taking off my makeup. Maybe it just didn't suit my skin type but I would defiantly try another BB Cream.

Models Own - Nude Beige

Spring is nearly upon us and this season it's all about pastel & neons. I'm not that bold to wear neon colours so I tend to stick to pastels, this is why I have gone for Models Own Nude Beige.

I love this colour on my skin as it brings out the warmth. Before i put it on i was expecting more of a nude than a brown, but to me it looks like a light brown. The consistency is really nice, the first layer i put on quite thin and the second layer is a bit more thick, but it dried fantastically.

I do love Models Own polishes, they are so well pigmented and they glide on so smoothly.

Vanilla Crème Brûlée Body Cream - N Spa

Vanilla Crème Brûlée - N Spa smells so good you could eat it! The Vanilla Crème Brûlée range comes in three different products Vanilla Crème Brûlée Bath & Shower Gel, Vanilla Crème Brûlée Body Scrub and last but not least Vanilla Crème Brûlée Body Cream.

I was shopping in Asda a few weeks ago and came across N-Spa range of products, after taking ages smelling each scent I decided on Vanilla Crème Brûlée. The scent reminds me of vanilla ice cream. One of the first things i liked about N Spa was the quirky tag line;

"If," said the wise man, "the sea was vanilla, might the owl and the pussycat have changed their minds and sat instead on caramel coated sands with waves topped with cream... life would be simple, rich and fulfilled. Shall we go there one day?"

When I opened the Vanilla Crème Brûlée Body Cream I just wanted to eat it, it had the most gorgeous aroma. When applying the body cream it was cool, light and absorbed easily. The scent was very strong to start with (I didn't mind this as it smells so good) although within a couple of hours the fragrance somewhat disappears the lovely soft feeling on my skin stays around for the whole day. I like how moisturised my skin feels without being tacky or a greasy feeling like some creams can do.

And the best bit about this is it only costs £3.00 from Asda.

Shop MAC Lipstick - Innocence, Beware

I've been trying to get MAC Innocence, Beware Lipstick since it was launched in February but everywhere was sold out. So when I popped to Bluewater, House of Frasier on Wednesday I couldn't resist on going over to the MAC counter to check. To my amazement it was there!!
Mac Innocence Beware lipstick is a re-launch it was originally released with the Disney Villains collection and is officially described as a light yellow pink which I think it's more a milky nude. Which is some what similar to many light nude shades Mac produce such as Creme D'nude.

Like all MAC Lipsticks, this has a very light vanilla scent, which smells great.

Minnie Mouse Nails

I always love to try new things with my nails and when I painted my nails with Models Own Pro - 032 Hot Salmon it looked a bit plain. That's when I picked up my white nail art pen and created Minnie Mouse Nails.

To create this effect I have used Models Own Pro - 032 Hot Salmon and White Nail Art Pen. I have applied two coats of Models Own Pro - 032 Hot Salmon, once this was dry used the White Nail Art Pen to draw dots onto my nails.

I think this design is lovely and is perfect for the Spring/Summer. Model Own Pro is available in Boots £8.00

LUSH - Lemony Flutter Cuticle Butter

I love LUSH Lemony Flutter Cuticle Butter, I read about this on another beauty blog back in November and put this straight on my Christmas list.

I can get very dry and rough cuticles as I'm always changing my nail varnish, LUSH Lemony Flutter Cuticle Butter is perfect for me! The cuticle butter smells extermely lemonly and the skin around my nails feels and looks instantly moisturised.

It costs £5.95 and for that you get 50g, although having now tried it for a few months, I can see it's going to last me a very long time as you only need a teeny amount because it's very rich.

I'm really impressed with this product and will definitely buy it again!

17 Magnetized Nail Polish - Black

What is 17 Magnetized Nail Polish?? The polish contains very fine magnetic metal particles and when a magnetic is hovered over the wet nail varnish....watch the effect appear.

17 Magnetized Nail Polish comes in 4 colours Black, Blue, Green & Purple. I thought I would go for black as it is a safe colour and goes with everything.

How to apply...

1. Apply a base coat of 17 Magnetized Nail Polish and make sure it's dry.

2. You need to shake the bottle well before the next coat as it mixes up the metallic particles.

3. Apply the next coat of 17 Magnetized Nail Polish (one nail at a time), hold the magnet over the nail for approx 10 seconds and watch the effect appear.

The magnet creates light grey zig-zags in the polish which, in the right light, look as if they're moving when you move your fingers. I am definitely going to be picking up more of the shades just because I'm curious to see the rest of the finished effects.

All four colours are available in Boots £5.99

March 2012 Glossybox - Harrods Edition

Harrods has joined forces with online beauty company Glossybox to create a limited edition beauty box in March containing a handpicked selection of luxury sample sizes.

A lot of suspense and excitement was created over the March 'Mystery Box', and when it was announced that Glossybox had collaborated with high-end department store, Harrods, I couldn't wait for my Glossybox to arrive.

I was very impressed with March Glossybox, it arrived in a white box rather than the normal pale pink. Some reviews I've read have been disappointed with the March Glossybox but I have been very pleased (so is my boyfriend who has already stolen my Molton Brown Heavenly Gingerlily Moisture Bath & Shower Gel).

What's In My Box:
* Narciso Rodriguez. For Her Eau De Parfum - I love this scent! With notes of Honey Flower, Orange Blossom & Amberlyn and Vanilla, this perfume has a lovely, feminine scent. For her is Narciso Rodriguez's first fragrance, I would love the full bottle.
* Molton Brown - Heavenly Gingerlily Moisture Bath & Shower Gel - I'm a big fan of Molton Brown so I was very pleased to see it in this months Glossybox. It has a lovely, relaxing scent and feels very luxurious. Great travel size for the Gym or a weekend away.
*YSL-ForeverYouth Liberator Serum - A powerful serum enriched with 3 glycans to help increase youthful activity in skin cells.
*Burberry Beauty - Lip Mist Copper No 202 - With a balmy, lip-loving formula, Lip Mist offers sheer colour with an irresistible gloss shine. I love this colour as it is neutral, (a colour I would wear to work), it is well packaged and doesn't dry my lips out.
*Clarins - Extra Firming Body Cream - A formula rich in regenerating and firming plant extract which immediately helps to lift and tone, for firmer skin and younger looking body. I found it to leave my skin moisturised without being greasy but wasn't too sure about the scent.

Overall very pleased! Glossybox is available here £10.00 per month plus p&p.

Nicki Minaj - MAC Viva Glam Lipstick

I was so excited when a little black box appeared on my doorstep, I knew it could be only one thing.....MAC Viva Glam Nicki Lipstick.

Nicki Mainaj & Ricky Martin are the new faces of 2012 Viva Glam releasing Viva Glam Nicki Lipstick & Viva Glam Ricky Lip Conditioner. The full price from the sale of these products goes toward helping women, men and kids affected by HIV and Aids.

MAC Viva Glam Nicki is described as a bright yellow pink, though in the tube it looks more coral to me. The formula of this is statin and has great coverage. It last for about 2-3 hours per application but my lips are dry so highlights dry patches so I make sure I wear lip balm.

I don't usually suit coral makeup as I'm so pale, but there's something about this lipstick. The pink tones make it wearable on me and I love it! It's so different to anything else in my makeup bag and it even makes me feel great when I'm wearing it!

Viva Glam Nicki Lipstick & Viva Glam Ricky Lip Conditioner is available from MAC Online £13.50

John Frieda Sheer Blonde Colour Renew Tone Correcting Shampoo &Conditioner

I love John Frieda products! I've used their Sheer Blonde Shampoo & Conditioners on and off for a couple of years now and always ask myself the same question.............Why did I ever stop using them??

John Frieda Sheer Blonde Colour Renew Tone Correcting Shampoo & Conditioner is targeted specifically to keep blondes salon fresh for longer. It neutralises brassy tones and renews colours.

Recently, I've had to use a high lift color instead of bleach as my hair has become dry and brittle, the only thing with a high lift colour is it leaves my hair with a yellow tinge unlike the white blonde you get with bleach. This is where John Frieda Sheer Blonde Colour Renew Tone Correcting Shampoo & Conditioner comes in! It takes 2-3 shampoos before you notice a difference but it smells great, keeps your hair moisturised and most importantly keeps my blonde hair yellow free!

John Frieda Sheer Blonde Colour Renew Tone Correcting Shampoo & Conditioner is available at Boots. 2 for £7.50

Boots Cucumber Facial Wipes

I brought Boots Cucumber Facial Wipes on a whim as I was going away for the weekend and thought it would be much easier than my normal Simple Facial Wash. I'm always a bit worried in using facial wipes as my skin is very sensitive but Boots Cucumber Facial Wipes are brilliant!! They remove all my make up (even waterproof mascara), they smell lovely and of course there really cheap.

I will definately buy them again...and again..and again!

Galaxy Nails

I've been trying to create this effect for a while now, ever since I had bio-sculpture done recently. It was such a lovely colour that I thought I would give it a go.

To create this effect I have used Barry M - Black and Rimmel Lasting Finish - 500 Disco Ball. I applied two coats of Barry M - Black and one coat of Rimmel Lasting Finish - 500 Disco Ball. Usually when I'm wearing black nail varnish it only lasts 1 day before it's chipping, but with a glitter nail varnish on top I can get 2-3 days use, just enough time to get me through a weekend.

Barry M & Rimmel Lasting finish are both available from Boots and Superdrug £2.99.

Batiste Dry Shampoo - New Cherry

Batiste Dry Shampoo have just launched there newest scent fruity and cheeky Cherry. At first I was drawn in by the packaging and didn't really care what it smelt like as it resembled Cath Kidston designs, but as soon as I smelt it, I knew this would get me through the summer.

The only way I can describe the scent is cherry drop sweets, a very sweet but summery smell. The 1st time I used this I was a bit unsure as the smell was overpowering but it soon grew on me.

If you haven't used Batiste before, Batiste is dry shampoo that banishes oily roots, giving lifeless hair a makeover without having to use water or shampoo. Keeping the nozzle 30cm from hair, spray into roots and massage through with fingertips or a comb and style.

Batiste Cherry Dry Shampoo is now available from Superdrug or Boots £2.99.

WAH Nails

Last summer I went to get my nails done at WAH Nails in Topshop, Oxford Street. My nails looked beautiful but was so expensive that I decided to give it a go myself. Since then I've had so many compliments I thought I would share it with everyone.

To create the leopard print design I used the below;

Rimmel Lasting Finish - 270 Hot Shot
Miss Sporty Clubbing Colours - Electric Blue
Barry M - 308 Berry
Models Own WAH Nail - Black Nail Art Pen

1. Paint 2 coats of your chosen nail colour, in this case I have used Rimmel Lasting Finish - 270 Hot Shot. I love this colour as it always makes the design stand out.

2. Now using two different nail colours paint 2-3 dots of each colour over your painted nails, as shown below. I have used Miss Sporty Clubbing Colours - Electric Blue and Barry M - 308 Berry.

3. Wait for the nails to dry. Once they are, using the Models Own WAH Nail Art Pen start to draw around the dots. This will start to make the leopard print design, it might take some practice.

Models Own WAH Nail Art Pen can be found here. Let me know how you get on, send me a picture.
